Position Overview

The Fin Transformation Specialist is responsible for identifying, shaping, and advancing process improvement, automation, and digital transformation opportunities across Home Office functions. This role partners closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to evaluate current processes, design future-state ways of working, and support the successful implementation of solutions that improve efficiency, user experience, and business outcomes.

This position plays a key role in connecting business needs, process redesign, technology enablement, and change adoption to ensure transformation initiatives deliver measurable value.

Location

This role is open to candidates in the LaVista, NE or - Lenexa, KS area - with expected regular travel to LaVista, NE campus regularly as needed. This role may offer the flexibility for a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize process improvement, automation, and transformation opportunities across Home Office functions.
  • Lead structured discovery sessions and working meetings to understand current-state processes, pain points, and business needs.
  • Document and analyze current- and future-state workflows, including process maps, user journeys, and operational impacts.
  • Partner with stakeholders to redesign processes and recommend scalable, efficient, and user-centered solutions.
  • Translate business needs into actionable requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and implementation plans.
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment between business stakeholders, Product Owners, IT teams, and other partners involved in solution delivery.
  • Support intake and evaluation of new transformation opportunities by defining success criteria, business value, effort, risk, and change impact.
  • Contribute to business case development through data gathering and analysis, including cycle time, volume, manual effort, and performance metrics.
  • Partner with business leaders, Product Owners, and IT teams to shape and deliver transformation initiatives.
  • Support solution design and delivery by ensuring business goals, requirements, and process impacts are clearly understood throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate and support validation activities, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), test scenario development, and stakeholder feedback to support a successful rollout.
  • Lead or support change enablement activities, including documentation, communications, training materials, and user support during rollout.
  • Track and communicate initiative status, risks, dependencies, adoption progress, and realized business outcomes.
  • Monitor implemented solutions to evaluate effectiveness, identify improvement opportunities, and support continuous optimization.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, automation, digital transformation, or similar roles.
  • Strong experience facilitating discovery sessions, gathering requirements, and translating business needs into actionable solutions.
  • Proficiency in process mapping and analysis tools such as Visio, BPMN, or Lucidchart.
  • Experience supporting process redesign, workflow improvement, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Ability to translate business objectives into user stories, functional requirements, and success measures.
  • Familiarity with agile and waterfall methodologies and experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience using data to support business case development, prioritization, and outcome measurement.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills across business and technical audiences.
  • Experience supporting testing, implementation, and change management activities.
  • Knowledge of automation and AI tools such as Co-pilot, ChatGPT, Claude, RPA, workflow, or low-code platforms preferred.
  • Adaptable and open to change, with the ability to influence stakeholders and help drive new ways of working. #LI-AK1
