Application Services Team Lead The Application Services Team Lead supports OPPD's mission by guiding and developing a team of Software Systems Engineers who deliver high quality application services across the organization. In this role, you'll provide technical leadership, coordinate project and operational work, and strengthen partnerships with key business and technology stakeholders to ensure reliable delivery of critical technology solutions. Key Aspects of this role include: Assist in leading and supporting day today team operations including coaching, workload planning, prioritization, and performance input. Drive successful delivery of small to mid sized work efforts by coordinating resources, removing barriers, and ensuring work is clearly defined and trackable. Strengthen alignment with partners across Project Management, Infrastructure, Network, Security, QA, Application Support, and Database Administration. Provide technical oversight for application service requests, operational support, system performance monitoring, and lifecycle management activities. Support business partner adoption and readiness for new or enhanced technology solutions. Participate in cross functional project planning to ensure effective and efficient execution of technology initiatives. Recommend opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance team efficiency. Foster collaboration, communication, and transparency across teams and stakeholders. Qualifications What You'll Bring Must Have Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience Five years of experience in Technical Support, Development, or Engineering Strong knowledge of Windows 10, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Office Demonstrated ability to lead and support highly technical teams Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or collaboratively Preferred Experience leading teams or coordinating complex work streams Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) principles and tools (for example: Jira, assystME, MS Project) ITSM/ITIL experience, education, or certification Project management experience; PMP certification preferred Experience working in the utility sector Closing Statement Foundation - $109,942 Midpoint - $137,428 Our Culture & Mission At Omaha Public Power District, everything starts with people¿our teams, our communities, and the customer-owners who count on us.
